Doctor Directory

We have launched a new provider directory. Learn what this means for GPs and how to keep your details current.

Austin Health has launched Doctor Directory, our new provider directory application.

Doctor Directory makes it easier for Austin Health staff to access accurate information about GPs and clinics. The upgraded system provides:

  • Faster, more reliable access to GP and clinic details
  • Improved search functionality
  • Integration with the National Health Services Directory (NHSD) for up-to-date records

What this means for you

Austin Health will continue to use the National Health Services Directory (NHSD) as the primary source of GP and clinic contact details. It is important that your NHSD information is accurate and kept up to date.

Having correct details helps reduce missed or delayed communications from Austin Health, such as discharge summaries and patient updates.

As part of the migration to Doctor Directory, any updates that were previously provided directly to Austin Health in the past 18 months may be overwritten if they are not also reflected in the NHSD.

What you need to do

Check and update your details in the NHSD

Ensure your practice and contact information are accurate so you continue to receive all communications from us.

Sign up for HealthLink

HealthLink is now the preferred way for Austin Health to send discharge summaries and other clinical information.

Use Provider Connect Australia

Any changes made in Provider Connect Australia will automatically update the NHSD and Austin Health’s records.
