About us

The La Trobe University/Austin Health Clinical School of Nursing is located on Level 4 in the Austin Hospital Tower as part of a timely reform to meet the contemporary needs of Australian health care services, encompassing the highest level of academic and clinical nursing research and education. It is one of only two Acute Nursing Clinical Schools for the La Trobe University School of Nursing and Midwifery.

At the LTU/Austin Health Clinical School of Nursing undergraduate and postgraduate students have a wide range of educational opportunities to achieve their academic goals.

The Research in Supportive Care program is based at Austin Health and has established partnerships with Cancer Services and the Respecting Patient Choices program at Austin Health to conduct nationally and internationally-linked research projects. Doctoral students in nursing and psychology are undertaking relevant projects as part of this program
