Governance

Governance

As one of Australia’s major health services, Austin Health plays a vital role within the Victorian public health system.

Our Board committees

Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a committee of the Board. The CAC gives our community and consumers a voice in decision-making at Austin Health.

Our Board committees ensure robust governance of our activities. These include:

  • Audit and Risk Committee
  • Finance and Resources Committee
  • Clinical Safety and Quality Committee
  • Community Advisory Committee
  • Primary Care and Population Health Advisory
  • Governance and Remuneration

Our Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Register

We have a Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy to provide guidance to all Austin Health employees in relation to the acceptance and provision of gifts, benefits and hospitality.

The community expects high standards of integrity, impartiality and responsible use of public resources from Victorian public sector employees. Austin Health employees must not accept gifts, benefits or hospitality from people or organisations seeking to influence their decisions unfairly.

In line with Victorian Public Sector Commission (VPSC) guidelines, our gifts, benefits and hospitality register is available to our community.
