About us
The Under 13 Specialist Initiative works with mental health services and community service organisations. We build workforce capability and expertise in the specialist child mental health system.
We help to identify and then refer children and their families into appropriate services promoting service connectedness and best outcomes for children.
Our services
We provide the following services:
- Consultation and liaison with community mental health services and organisations
- Mental health assessments of children under 13
- Referrals to appropriate services for children and their families

Child inpatient care
We care for and treat children under the age of 13 years having severe difficulties with emotions, behaviours and relationships.

CYMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA)
We run group programs in primary schools to promotes young children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
