As per the Medication Administration guideline at Austin Health, Entry to Practice Nursing students are only able to administer medications once they have successfully completed the relevant pharmacology subjects through their education provider.
All medication administration must be under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) employed by Austin Health. If this is breached it will result in direct dismissal of the student from the organisation.
