Olivia’s Walk for Wellness launch

Tottie Goldsmith, Olivia Newton-John’s niece

Yesterday we were honoured to host Tottie Goldsmith, Olivia Newton-John’s niece, for the launch of Olivia’s Walk for Wellness for 2022 through a series of live crosses with Mel and Kochie from Sunrise.

This year’s Walk for Wellness will take place on October 9 at the Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne – one of Dame Olivia Newton-John’s favourite spots – where family, friends, fans and supporters will have an opportunity to continue Olivia’s legacy and raise much needed funds for the ONJ Centre.

For those unable to attend in person, participants can sign up to walk virtually from anywhere in the world.

“Olivia absolutely beamed walking with family and friends and getting cuddles from the dogs that joined the walk. She loved being surrounded by people from all walks of life, pulling together to support her dream and support those in need. This was a really special day for her, for all of us,” said Tottie, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the ONJ Centre.

“We know how important the walk and the wellness programs were to Liv and we want to honour them. Whether you can walk in person or virtually, we want everyone to bring love and light to this walk.”

In a statement, Olivia’s husband John Easterling said “The wellness walk and wellness programs meant so much to Olivia. She really looked forward to it each year. Olivia loved meeting so many patients who benefitted from the ONJ Centre and the incredible souls who helped make this possible with their fundraising efforts.”

Sponsorships and donations from the event will fund evidence-based wellness therapies at the ONJ Centre that help ease the side effects of cancer treatment and support people with cancer emotionally, spiritually and physically. Wellness therapies have been proven to help reduce the side effects of cancer treatment and help people cope better during their cancer journey - to help them thrive.
