Every year we celebrate our staff and their years of service to Austin Health.
Today we recognise the achievements of 732 staff who are celebrating a milestone of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service.
Collectively, this year’s recipients have worked a remarkable 12,290 years with us.
Due to COVID-19, we’re unable to hold our traditional face-to-face years of service events. To celebrate our staff in a different way, we’ve created a short film, with staff sharing why they love working here.
Chief Executive Officer, Adam Horsburgh, congratulated staff for reaching their significant milestone and thanked them for their years of service.
“Austin Health has a strong reputation in the community and across the broader health sector thanks to people like you,” said Adam.
“Thank you for your contribution and commitment and for continuing to choose Austin Health as your employer.
“I look forward to your ongoing support in helping us achieve our vision of shaping the future through exceptional care, discovery and learning."
Head of Austin Health's Division of Medical Services and the University of Melbourne's Department of Medicine, Professor Jeffrey Zajac, is celebrating 20 years of service.
"The Austin is my second home, why would I want to work anywhere else?" said Prof Zajac.
Radiation Therapist, Nainaben Dhana, is celebrating 10 years of service.
"Austin Health's a great progressive organisation, with great people, person-centred care and has great values," said Nainaben.
Social Worker, Mary Harty, is celebrating 20 years of service.
"I love being in a professional environment and just feeling like you're always among friends," said Mary.
We'd especially like to congratulate our 45 and 40 years of service recipients on their incredible milestone:
