The following external organisations offer support and advocacy services for consumers and carers.

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)

IMHA support people who are at risk of, or are currently receiving, compulsory mental health treatment to make informed choices in their assessment, treatment and recovery.

Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC)

VMIAC is the peak body for supporting and advocating for consumers in Victoria who are receiving voluntary treatment.

Office of the Public Advocate (OPA)

The OPA is an independent advocacy and advice service safeguarding the human rights of those with a disability or mental health ill health.
