- Quality Account 2026: Improving Care Together
20 October 2026
Austin Health has released its Quality Account 2026, showcasing how patients, carers, consumer partners and staff have worked together to improve the safety, quality and experience of care across our health service.
Titled Improving Care Together, this year's report highlights initiatives that have strengthened patient-centred care, improved accessibility and inclusion, and supported better outcomes for the communities we serve.
The report demonstrates how feedback from patients, carers and consumer partners continues to shape improvements across Austin Health, helping us deliver care that is safer, more accessible and responsive to community needs.
Some of the year's highlights include:
- More than 27,700 patient survey responses helping guide service improvements
- The launch of Austin Health's Consumer Collaborative, bringing consumers and staff together to improve services and projects across the organisation
- Opening a new Changing Places facility to improve accessibility for people with disability
- Continued investment in First Nations health, cultural safety and workforce development initiatives
- New programs supporting Rainbow Health, language services and inclusive care
The Quality Account, developed in partnership with consumer partners, also reflects our ongoing commitment to listening, learning and continuously improving.
We thank the many patients, families, carers, and consumer partners who have contributed their experiences, expertise and feedback to help improve care at Austin Health.
