No visitors allowed at Austin Health sites

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and patients is our highest priority.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to change our visitor
guidelines.

From Friday 17 July, no visitors will be allowed at Austin Health until further notice.

There will be exemptions for:

A patient is receiving end-of-life terminal phase care
You are the approved carer of a patient who is under 18 or has a disability or behavioural issues.

We know that this will be difficult for some patients and their families and we sincerely apologise for any distress this may cause.

You can keep in touch by phone or video conference.

We will support patients who don’t have access to technology.

We will review our visitor guidelines regularly and look forward to welcoming visitors back to Austin Health as soon as possible.
