Austin Health’s ATLAS team, part of the Clinical Education Unit, has been recognised on the global stage, taking home two platinum awards at the recent LearnX Awards!

Platinum is the highest award on offer, and the team secured wins for:

  • Best EdTech – won for learner engagement, and
  • Best Learning & Talent Technology – won for our Learning Management System (LMS) suite (compliance and training).

The LearnX Awards are an international awards program celebrating excellence in learning and development, education technology, and workforce capability across corporate, education, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Competitors included major universities and global corporations such as Kmart and Tesla.

Austin Health’s winning project, delivered in partnership with ATLAS vendor Androgogic, was a user-centred redesign of the ATLAS My Learning page and a streamlined approach to our mandatory training. The enhancements aimed to improve user engagement, simplify navigation, and ensure compliance requirements are clear and accessible.

Ellen Valvasori, Manager Learning Technology and project lead, shares, “The ATLAS My Learning project was a user-focused redesign that changed the way our learners engage with online education at Austin Health, incorporating mandatory training, role and workplace requirements into an easily accessible dashboard that supports the learner experience. I am so proud to see the hard work of the Learning Technologies team recognised with this prestigious award.”

Sirini Griffiths, Director Clinical Education Unit, adds, “Our Learning Management System is a cornerstone of clinical education at our hospital. It provides a centralised, accessible platform for delivering evidence-based training, tracking compliance, and supporting continuous professional development. By ensuring that every staff member has the right knowledge at the right time, the LMS strengthens patient safety, fosters a culture of learning, and empowers our workforce to deliver the highest standards of care.”

These awards highlight Austin Health’s ongoing commitment to innovation in education and its focus on creating a seamless, engaging learning experience for staff.
