By car
The Austin Hospital is located at 145 Studley Road on the corner of Studley Road and Burgundy Street in Heidelberg.
Drop off and pickup points
The main drop off and pickup points for visitors and patients for the Austin Hospital are:
- Austin Tower - Drop Off Zone in the B3 Car Park (enter via Studley Road, opposite station).
- Olivia Newton John Cancer & Wellness Centre - Level 2 entrance accessed via the corner of Studley Road and the Bell-Banksia Link
- Outpatients - Level 3 Harold Stokes Building entrance accessed via Burgundy St
Street parking
Some street parking is available in the surrounding streets and is metered Monday through to Saturday afternoon. Check signs for details.
The streets are patrolled regularly by council officers.
There are several parking apps for:

- iOS - type "find parking" into the App store on your phone
These apps can help you find parking, view parking restrictions and even pay for parking in local streets.
You can also use sites like Parkopedia to help you find street parking.
Austin Tower car park
The public car park for the Austin Hospital is in the Austin Tower.
Austin Tower is accessed via two entrances:
- Studley Road
- Burgundy Street

Special advice for patients with a weakened immune system or lung conditions
If you have a chronic lung condition or a weakened immune system, there may be more dust within construction areas. If you have these health conditions, we recommend you wear a mask when near construction areas. If you have concerns, talk to your healthcare team.

Using the car park
The car park runs on an automated system. Remember to take the ticket with you, as you will need to pay at one of the pay stations prior to exiting. Pay Station locations are marked on the parking tickets. No payment is available at point of exit.
There is one set of lifts in the basement car park to access the Austin Hospital – the Austin Tower visitor lifts located in the back left corner of the car park. These lifts go to all eight floors of Austin Tower.
Accessible parking
Austin Health has accessible car parking for people who use wheelchairs at the Austin Tower and Harold Stokes carpark. The Harold Stokes carpark can accommodate over height vehicles.
Parking fees apply and concession parking may be available for eligible patients and visitors. Find out more about concession rate parking.

By motorbike
There is motorcycle parking available at Ref I3 of the Austin Hospital map.
Take the Emergency entry off Burgundy Street, go around the traffic island and head to come back out again.
In the building undercroft to the left there is designated motorcycle parking.

From dialysis to Dresden: Nigel's journey to World Transplant Games
21 August 2025 - Nigel was 28 when a routine health check for a scuba diving course revealed near end stage kidney failure. Two kidney transplants later, at 51, he’s representing Australia at the World Transplant Games in Germany.

Seeing the impact: Eye donation program leading the way at Austin Health
1 August 2025 - Every year, the gift of sight is made possible thanks to the generosity of donors and their families, and thanks to the dedicated work of staff in our Palliative Care Unit (PCU). Since launching in 2017, the PCU’s eye donation program has helped restore vision to hundreds of people in need, making Austin Health the leading source of eye tissue donation in Victoria.
