Home Therapies Centre

We provide training and support for people who want to do their own dialysis at home.

About us

Home Therapies Centre provides home peritoneal dialysis and haemodialysis dialysis training for people who wish to dialyse themselves or with family support. We have 5 chairs.

Getting here

There are two parking spots in front of the unit. Special parking tickets are required. Ask the HTC staff about arranging a parking ticket.

What to bring

Lunch is provided, but you may want to bring your own lunch with you.

When you come for dialysis, you should bring:

Sheet, blanket and pillow for your comfort
Comfortable day clothes
Warm socks, sweatshirt or jumper in case you get cold during treatment
Book, magazine or an iPad/tablet with headphones
If you have a graft or fistula in your arm, make sure your sleeves are loose enough to roll up
If you have a catheter in your chest, wear a shirt that opens in the front
Any tablets you need to take during dialysis
Something to eat (if you need to)

Referrals

You need a referral from your GP, specialist or health care provider to access this service.

You can organise the referral once you have started training at HTC. You will then be given an appointment time to attend our Renal Clinic, usually every 2-3 months.
