Exciting opportunities exist in Austin Health for two new Nurse Practitioner (NP) candidates.
The new Stroke Nurse Practitioner candidate position provides an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse with neurology experience and clinical leadership qualities.
The Stroke NP candidate will undertake a liaison role and work to improve continuity of care from the Emergency Department on to Outpatients and primary care. The Stroke NP candidate will play a senior role in the multidisciplinary acute stroke team and develop into an active clinician in the clinic.
The new Cardiac Nurse Practitioner candidate position offered is the first Cardiac NP candidate position to be offered in Victoria.
The Cardiac NP candidate will work with the acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patient group, to ensure that management guidelines are implemented correctly and that discharge is closely managed, and improve patient flow and continuity of care, particularly for complex patients.
