About Us

The Library Service is a partner in the health care team. It provides the link between information and its application in patient care, education and research. The Library is located at the Austin Hospital and provides services to staff at all Austin Health sites.

The Library provides services to support patient care, education and research. Our friendly librarians provide training and consulting and can support your research or patient care with our literature searching services.

We can assist you to deposit your work into our repository, set up content alerts, and obtain books and articles not held in our collection via interlibrary loan & document delivery.

The library is open to staff and students and has quiet study areas, discussion spaces, photocopying/printing/scanning facilities, WiFi (registration required) and computers with access to the internet and our collection of databases.

Offsite access to library resources is available to staff who have joined the library.

Access to the Library via staff/student security pass is available 24/7

The Library is staffed Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 6pm and Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
