About

We’re a leading specialist tertiary and quaternary health service. We’re recognised for our high-quality, safe, person-centred care, our leading teaching and research and as a place where staff and volunteers are proud to work.

Our direction

Our Strategic Plan 2018-22 provides a clear direction for Austin Health for the next five years. It describes three focus areas that we'll pursue to achieve our vision of "Shaping the future through exceptional, care discovery and learning'.

  • Partnerships: We'll partner with consumers to create a distinct approach to care that's reliable, safe and puts the patient at the centre, and we'll collaborate with local partners to improve the lives of people in our community.
  • Transformation: We'll transform our digital environment by investing in new and emerging technologies and creating a centre for health data analytics.
  • Growth: We'll advance the research and learning precinct in Melbourne's north-east, grow our delivery of specialised care in regional and state-wide services, and invest in building the capability of our people.
