THE SPECIALIST FOOT ULCER AND CHARCOT's CLINICS ARE INTERPROFESSIONAL WITH A FOCUS ON EVIDENCE-BASED OUTPATIENT MANAGEMENT AND CARE-PLANNING FOR PATIENTS AT RISK OF LOWER EXTREMITY AMPUTATION and at risk of admission to hospital due to their foot condition.
Specialist Clinic referrals should be from the patients Local Medical Officer or treating Clinician/Specialist; with complete current medical and podiatric history and medications; including relevant pathology and imaging/investigation reports (or discharge summary).

The Wednesday Clinics are supported by the Vascular Team of Consultants and Registrars
The Friday Clinic is a co-consulting clinic with an Endocrinology Consultant and Registrar, to enable holistic management (and emergent treatment where necessary) by the team.
A limited inpatient service is provided for those patients admitted to hospital:
1. with a foot ulcer
2. at risk of clinical deterioration due to their foot condition
3. with a foot conditon that is impacting discharge
