Enhancing Care Together: The Regional Outcome Review Initiative (RORI)

About the initiative

The Enhancing Care Together project is an ambitious initiative bringing together stakeholders from mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), and suicide prevention services.

Our collective mission is to promote collaboration, integration, and continuous learning in the eastern and north-eastern region. By harnessing the power of joint reviews, collective learning forums, and a panel pool of experts, we aim to drive improvements in service delivery, ultimately enhancing the quality of care and support provided to individuals.

Key aims

Enhance service delivery

Utilising joint reviews to holistically address challenges and promote collaborative problem solving for better care outcomes.

Drive collaboration and continuous learning

Uniting stakeholders to share insights, expertise, and best practices by cultivating a culture of openness, curiosity, and ongoing improvement.

Strengthen incident review rigor

Improving access to independent panel members and giving opportunities for staff to develop incident review skills.

Key activities

  • Joint reviews: Embedding the practice of joint reviews into business as usual (BAU).
  • Collective learning forums: Participate in monthly forums with discussions on key learnings from relevant incidents.
  • Panel pool: Roster in place that allowing for increased access to an independent panel member for incident reviews.

Get involved

We are currently in a testing and implementing phase of this initiative. From May to October, we aim to share more with a wider group.

We will have an implementation toolkit available in the second half of the year for those who wish to implement a similar initiative. To be made aware when this is available, please provide your details using our online enquiry form.
