About us

We work with patients with disease or injury to improve their ability to move and function in daily life.

We do this through:

  • Individual physical assessments
  • Setting specific goals with patients
  • Tailoring specific therapeutic treatments and exercise programs to patients reach their goals

Our physiotherapists are highly trained and use a range of treatment approaches, including:

  • Exercise programs to improve mobility and strengthen muscles
  • Joint mobilisation to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Muscle re-education to improve control
  • Airway clearance techniques and breathing exercises
  • Using aids, splints, crutches, walking sticks and wheelchairs
  • Providing education to help patients manage their condition

Our services

We provide care and treatment for patients in hospital who need:

  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Spinal rehabilitation
  • Respiratory rehabilitation
  • Orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Cardiac and cardiac failure rehabilitation
  • Chronic disease management

We run the following clinics:

  • Cardiac rehabilitation classes
  • Cardiac failure rehabilitation classes
  • Orthopaedic Clinic 

Referrals

For patients

You can access this service when you are staying in hospital and continue as an outpatient for usually 8 to 12 sessions, to help you manage your condition.

Treatment sessions are provided free of charge.
