Graduate Nurse Program

Mental Health Stream - Graduate Nurse Program

Working in a supportive environment, our mental health graduate nurses will have the opportunity to integrate theory with practice by working in a range of mental health settings with a focus on consumer-centred high quality care.

Overview

The program includes:

  • Two six-month clinical rotations
  • Minimum 10 paid study days
  • Dedicated supernumerary days for each rotation

  • Acute Psychiatric Unit
  • Secure Extended Care Unit
  • Child Inpatient Unit
  • Adolescent Unit
  • Trauma Recovery Unit
  • Brain Disorders Unit
  • Peri-Infant Unit

Our Mental Health team are committed to providing you with ongoing learning and development opportunities.

During your graduate year you’ll have multiple structured study days which include specialised content. This is also a pathway to a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
