All research performed on Austin Health campuses involving the use of animals can only be undertaken with approval from our Animal Ethics Committee (AEC).
This type of application relates to National Mutual Acceptance. It is required when Austin Health is a participating site of a multi-centre study, where ethical approval has been granted by an external lead HREC.
All research involving human participants carried out at Austin Health requires the prior approval of our Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).
