Support and Assistance

Appointment / Diagnostic Coordination

Patients are often required to undertake tests or procedures (such as blood tests or X-ray) prior to their Specialist Clinics appointment.

Other patients are required to attend more than one Specialist Clinics appointment.

Aboriginal Health Service

At Austin Health we orrfer the Ngarra Jarra Aboriginal Health Program to provide culturally appropriate support for our Aboriginal patients and cultural advice and support to all staff.  For further information please refer to the Ngarra Jarra Aboriginal Health Program.


Accommodation and Travel Assistance

If you require assistance with travel and/or accommodation for your appointment, please refer to Accommodation/Travel Assistance Schemes



If you require an interpreter for your Specialist Clinics appointment, please let us know so that we can arrange this for you. Refer to Austin Health's Cultural Diversity Unit page for further information.
