Brain disorders

We care for and treat people aged 16 to 65 who have more than one brain disorder.

About us

We care for people with

  • Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI)
  • mental illnesses
  • neurodegenerative disorders (such as Parkinson’s or motor neurone disease)

This includes people whose behaviours are making their life and relationships difficult.

We aim to help people regain as much function and independence as possible.

Our services

We provide the following services:

  • Community outreach service
  • Brain Disorders Unit, Mary Guthrie House, which cares for patients with severe brain injury and psychiatric disturbance
  • Step 2 Transitional Unit, for people building the skills needed to live in the community
