Wikipedia vs peer-reviewed medical literature

New study cautions health care professionals from using Wikipedia to answer questions regarding patient care. Authors found a statistically significant discordance between Wikipedia and peer-reviewed sources.

GPs’ use of absolute risk vs individual risk factors in CV disease prevention

General practitioners' resist using an absolute risk (AR) approach for assessing the risk of a cardiovascular event, opting instead to treat individual risk factors, according to Australian research from the University of Sydney's School of Public Health.

Do unto others – doctors’ personal end-of-life preferences and attitudes towards AD

New comparative study raises questions about why doctors continue to provide high-intensity care for terminally ill patients but personally forego such care for themselves at end-of-life. Study reveals doctors' attitudes towards Advanced Directives (AD) have not changed significantly in the past 23 years.
