The Austin Clinical School is part of a strong partnership between the University of Melbourne and the Austin Health Service.
The University of Melbourne is a world class tertiary facility. The 2017/2018 Times Higher Education rankings of the world’s top 200 Universities placed Melbourne as the top ranked University in Australia and 32nd in the world. The University of Melbourne was also ranked 1st in Australia and 9th in the world for clinical, pre-clinical & health subjects.
The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences is internationally recognised for leadership in teaching, training and research, and is widely considered to be one of the best places to study medicine in Australia.
Austin Health comprises the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. The Austin Hospital is one of the state’s largest adult hospitals with over 400 acute beds. It is internationally renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
