Research Week

Research Week will be held from October 18-22 2010

Professor Louise Burrell

Research Week celebrates the research undertaken at Austin LifeSciences and highlights the breadth and excellence of our research. It is an opportunity to learn what others are doing, to facilitate new research collaborations, and to encourage new students and junior researchers to undertake a research career at Austin LifeSciences.

In 2010 the Committee is pleased to continue with the new sessions, including “Professors Professing” featuring Professor Louise Burrell and Professor Sam Berkovic, and a symposium in honour of the late Professor Rob Pierce.  We will introduce a mini-oral session to give junior researchers further opportunities to speak about their work.  Our plenary speaker will be Laureate Professor Peter Doherty.

Once again several prestigious and highly sought-after prizes will be on offer, including a number of new prizes. Make sure you check the eligibility criteria when applying for these.

Abstract submission will be open from 7 June to 6 August. We hope you will join us once again in making Research Week the highlight of our academic year.

Chair, Austin LifeSciences Research Week Committee

Abstract submission is now closed

In 2010 ASN Events has introduced their new registration system. The first step is to record your personal details on your own ‘dashboard’. If you have already completed it for your abstract or another ASN event, you will not have to repeat this, just login to your existing ‘dashboard’.
As you complete any section of the ‘dashboard’, you will receive a confirmation email.
You can use your email and password to access your abstract and registration to make any necessary changes, coming back to it over a period of time as you are ready to confirm more detail.

The online abstract submission process is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of ASN Events

Online abstract submissions open 7 June - 6 August 2010.
