Palliative Care Services

Palliative care assists patients who have a life limiting illness to be as symptom free as possible and strives to meet their emotional, spiritual and practical needs in a holistic way.

The Palliative Care Service works with patients and their families at any point when they require support, from diagnosis through to death and bereavement.

Palliative Care Services at Austin Health are provided by a twenty-one bed inpatient unit and an acute consultancy team who visit patients across all areas of the Austin Health.
