The Central Dialysis Unit is an acute haemodialysis and plasma exchange unit offering a wide variety of extracorporeal therapies to inpatients throughout Austin Health as well as outpatients and visitors.

Home Therapies Centre (HTC)

The Home Therapies Centre has been established specifically to provide training and support in home haemodialysis, home haemodiafiltration and peritoneal dialysis. A Home Therapies medical clinic is also run at the Home Therapies Centre on a regular basis.

North Eastern Kidney Service (NEKS)

NEKS is a satellite haemodialysis unit where people who are well on dialysis are able to receive haemodialysis away from the
hospital. This provides a less stressful setting for long-term dialysis.

Repatriation Dialysis Unit (RDU)

The Repatriation Dialysis Unit provides satellite haemodialysis for outpatients, nursing home residents and inpatients who are undergoing rehabilitation. It has access for disabled and ambulance transport patients.

  • Parking: There are parking spots close to the unit. Enter through gate 9 (off Waterdale Road) and turn left opposite the cafe into Boronia Street. After you have parked, follow the signs to get to RDU. If you get lost, ring the unit and we can direct you.
