Diabetes Complications and Assessment Service (DCAS)

Is an outpatient, clinic based education and complication screening service for clients with Diabetes.

The multidisciplinary DCAS team includes endocrinologists, diabetes clinical nurse consultants, dieticians and podiatrists. Access to the HARP Psychologist is also available.

Clients who attend the clinic are reviewed by the endocrinologist and a suggested management plan is developed in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and then forwarded to the client's GP.

The service aims to assist clients in the self-management of their diabetes as well as assist in the prevention of complications relating to their diabetes. We also provide assistance and education for carers and GPs, in the management of clients with diabetes in the local community.
