Acquired Brain Injury Unit (ABI)

The ABI Unit offers individualised care for 14 post acute Head Injured clients in single rooms within a secure environment. The team compromises all disciplines, occupational and speech therapy, physiotherapy, neuropsychology, rehabilitation nurses, social work and medical. Individualised therapy programs are devised with clients and families via a goal setting approach to focus on maximising recovery.

Nursing staff are provided with orientation and professional development both on site and throughout the wider campus and state.

Mellor Unit (General Rehabilitation)

Mellor is a 35-bed general rehabilitation unit that caters for patients with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Mellor Nursing Staff are committed to helping the individual/family achieve the optimal level of functioning (physical, social, emotional, economic and spiritual) within their preferred choices and within the resources available. Nursing care is delivered using a primary nursing model with each nurse allocated to a specific team.
