Nuclear Medicine & Centre for PET

Nuclear Medicine consists of two departments on both the Austin & Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital’s, which provide both in-patient and out patient services for largely cardiac, oncology, neurology and renal clients.  Nursing staff assist with cardiac stress testing, supervise patient care and provide radiation safety information to patients and staff.

Advanced ECG interpretation skills or cardiac stress testing experience and cannulation experience would be desirable.

Located at the Austin Hospital – Level One, Harold Stokes Block & the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital – Neuroscience Building.

Radiology

Radiology is a specialty area of professional nursing that involves the planning for and care of patients during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.  Nursing staff are responsible for the day-to-day patient care that is efficient, cost effective and which meets the organizational, professional and nursing standards within a framework of client focused care.  Nurses have exposure to a diverse patient group, working Monday to Friday with no night duty / weekend work unless on call.

Located at  the Austin Hospital – Level Two, Lance Townsend Building & the
Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital – Ground Floor – Centaur Building.
