The Chair of the Austin Health Board, Judith Troeth AM, has announced her resignation after eight years in the role.
Interim Board Chair, Dr Christine Bessell, said Judith has played a critical role in shaping Austin Health to become one the leading health services in Victoria since being appointed as Chair in July 2012.
"Under her leadership over the past eight years, the organisation has grown and evolved and is today recognised as a centre of excellence for clinical care, teaching and research," she said.
"On behalf of the Austin Health Board, I’d like to thank Judith for her vision and leadership. We wish her all the best for her future endeavours.
"At the request of the Board I have, in the interim, assumed the duties of Board Chair," Dr Bessell said.
