Mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB)

The Austin Infectious Diseases clinic provides a specialised service for management of tuberculosis, including latent TB and multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB). The clinic is also attended by a public health nurse consultant from the Victorian Tuberculosis Program.

Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria

This clinic also provides expert advice on the treatment of other non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections, in particular, Mycobacterium ulcerans infections, led by Prof Paul Johnson, the Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for M. ulcerans.
