About us

The Department of Clinical Pharmacology provides clinical care to patients with blood pressure disorders, difficult pharmacological problems and toxicological problems. The Department of Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in providing expertise in quality use of medicines, off-label/high-cost individual patient drug usage and hospital formulary management. The Department also has an important role in clinical research.  

The Department of Clinical Pharmacology provides patient care in a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Clinical services
  • Hypertension

We also provide a state-of-the-art laboratory drug assay service.

Department activities include clinical pharmacology and toxicology, hypertension, blood pressure disorders and cardiovascular risk assessment and treatment.

The Department is committed to improving patient care and treatment through research and is also affiliated with the University of Melbourne, Department of Medicine.
