Role of Hospital Primary Care Liaison Unit

The Hospital Primary Care Liaison Unit (HPCLU) provides assistance to Austin Health staff, the GP community and primary care agencies to develop links and opportunities for collaboration.   The focus of the Unit is on improving communication pathways so that patient access to services is improved and outcomes enhanced.

Role of GP Liaison Officer

- Dr Wendy FisherAustin Health's GP Liaison Officer, Dr Wendy Fisher works in the Hospital  Primary Care Liaison Unit and is available to provide a consultancy service across the hospital to develop and improve the communication links between General Practitioners and services provided by Austin Health. 

Dr Fisher is available at Austin Health on Mondays and Tuesdays to answer any GP related questions.  Dr Fisher can be contacted on these days on 9496 2961 or by email wendy.fisher@austin.org.au
