Leave a legacy that will make a difference to the lives of so many future generations

Making a Will is a very personal matter and one that requires careful thought. In your will, once you have cared for your family and loved ones you may like to consider leaving a gift to Austin Health. By choosing to add Austin Health as a beneficiary in your Will, you are helping to ensure that this world-class facility continues to provide the best possible care to the many thousands of people in your community for years to come.

When revising or making a Will, we suggest you consult your solicitor or trustee company to guide you through the process and ensure your wishes will be fulfilled.

There are a number of ways you can make a gift in your Will to Austin Health

• A fixed percentage of your estate. The advantages of this sort of bequest are that if your estate diminishes over time, your other beneficiaries will not be disadvantaged by a significant fixed bequest. Similarly, a fixed amount may also depreciate over time so the value of your gift at the time when your estate is distributed may be less than you intended.

• A specific gift such as jewellery, paintings, shares, or property.

• A specific sum of money.

• Your entire estate or the residue of your estate after the distribution of bequests to other beneficiaries.

• Alternatively, you may wish to establish a trust or life insurance naming Austin Health as a beneficiary.

We invite you to become an Austin Health Ambassador

By remembering Austin Health in your Will, as a token of appreciation, we would like to welcome you as a special Austin Ambassador and present you with an Ambassador certificate and lapel pin. However, if you would like to remain anonymous, your wishes will be respected.

The right wording is so important

Your solicitor will help you word your bequest in a way that ensures that your Executors are able to effectively carry out your wishes. To assist you and your solicitor we have provided an example of appropriate wording, including the correct legal name should you wish to make a bequest to Austin Health.
