Disabled car parking is available on level B3 of the Austin Tower, accessible via Studley Road.

Please note that local council parking restrictions apply to the streets around both the Austin Hospital and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. Both facilities are patrolled regularly by council officers.

Jockey Parking

Jockey parking will be introduced to the Austin Tower car park from Monday 20th August.

This is due to significant capital works occuring both in the Austin Tower and in the surrounding areas which is impacting car park capacity.

Jockey parking will allow us to ensure access to parking spaces is maintained.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

Disabled car parking

With the new Martin Street car park now open, we have relocated most of our staff out of the Austin Tower and freed hundreds of spaces for patients and visitors. We have also been able to provide a greater number of designated disabled car parking spaces in the Austin Tower.

As a result, from Monday 19 May, disabled parking outside level 3 of the Harold Stokes Building has been relocated onto level B3 of the Austin Tower, accessible via Studley Road. (See ref L5 of the Austin Hospital map.)

The relocated disabled parking is safer, undercover and accessible for more people.

As with all other parking in the Austin Tower, fees apply. Concession parking may be available. Patients and visitors can ask the department they are visiting if they meet the criteria for concession rates.

We appreciate that some people who have been using disabled parking outside the Harold Stokes Building may feel inconvenienced by these changes but we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Motorcycle parking

There is motorcycle parking available at ref I3 of the Austin Hospital map.

Take the Emergency entry off Burgundy Street, go around the traffic island and head to come back out again. In the building undercroft to the left there is designated motorcycle parking.
