About us
The Clinical Nursing Education Department (CNED) is a division of Austin Health and offers an extensive range of high calibre educational opportunities to nurses, health professionals and lay persons. CNED employs professional specialist nurse educators and invites specialists from within Austin Health to provide clinically relevent nursing education.
CNED education programs include advanced practice courses, short courses and Austin Health staff programs. In addition CNED provides a Graduate Nurse Year Program, a Practice Advancement Program, a Refresher Program and a Supervised Practice/Re-entry Program. A large number of postgraduate courses are also conducted through Austin Health in collaboration with La Trobe University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and the University of Melbourne.
