Clinical supervision is now seen as a crucial aspect of professional accountability. Health professionals require ongoing evaluation of their clinical skills. Clinical supervision enables this in a supportive, confidential environment.
In 2003, a group representing mental health, general health and maternal and child health planned and hosted a 2 day conference at Ballarat, Victoria. Following the success of the inaugural conference, this has become a biennial event.
