AEC Submission Process

The AEC asks all researchers to carefully read the explanatory statements for submission requirements. The requirements are summarised below, please note that all New Applications and Minor Amendments (not including addition of investigators) require upfront payment. The Fee Form provided in the documents acts as a Tax Invoice and should be forwarded to your organisation’s relevant finance department to arrange payment before submission to Research Ethics . Please note that applications will only be forwarded to the relevant meeting once the electronic copy of the applications are received. 

Please note all electronic copies must be received by 9am on the closing date. All applications received after this time will not be accepted.

  • This type of application is for when the Austin Health AEC is reviewing a new project.

  • Once a project has received ethical approval, work can commence. It is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator to ensure that all Post Approval requirements are met.
